Irwin 9/16" x 18 National Fine Thread Fractional Tap, made of carbon steel, is ideal for routine maintenance, repair work, and for rethreading where high accuracy and tolerance thread is not critical. The straight flutes are ground to provide rapid chip removal for efficient threading. The tap is designed for hand threading work in a variety of materials and produces a Class 2B thread. A 33/64" drill bit is recommended for use with this tap.
